What is the correct pronunciation of "Semogue?

I always assumed it was named after Castle Aauuugghhh.....

It's a made up word, so there are two possibilities, either two or three syllables. If only two it would kind of sound like this: SUH-mohg. The first syllable is stressed but very short and the vowel almost swallowed and a longer "oh" in the second syllable. They might add an "eh" as a third syllable, in which case the stress falls on the middle syllable: "suh-MOH-gay." I think I recall one of our Portuguese members saying it's only two syllables, in which case the first variant would be right.

It's Eu Gomes (I, Gomes) spelt backwards so I guess the family are the only ones who'd be able to correct or advise...
