My modest supply of blades.
I don't shave with a DE anymore, unless I am travelling, so these are just sitting in a drawer...
To date I roughly own ~1,5 K blades. So composed:
- 300 Feather New Hi-Stainless
- 500 Gillette Silver Blue
- 300 Gillette Nacet
- 200 Gillette Perma-Sharp
- 200 Israeli Red Personna
- 300 Feather New Hi-Stainless
- 500 Gillette Silver Blue
- 300 Gillette Nacet
- 200 Gillette Perma-Sharp

Erm got plenty now - about 900...ish - I don`t need anymore because I`m old and had a hard life lol !
So erm - 200 Suneko on order, 100 Lord Rainbows, 100 Treet Blacks carbons, 200 Torpedo Lieres carbons, 100 Feathers, 100 Chinese London Bridges, 50 Med Preps and about 50 Wilkinson Swords and various English and Chinese ones.
My little treasure trove of precious metals.
Very nice indeed Beto Salatini - lovely and varied and neat - I have no drawer space in my tiny 3-bed gaff so my blades are in prison in a leather bag in my bathroom cupboard.
Don`t laugh but I have a few knives and have to put `em in vases and utensil boxes .
Of course that`s just the kitchen corner - I have 500-600 knives and scissors downstairs - some worth £8.5K for one kitchen knife - eeck ! - I`ve cooked since `72.
That`s nothing compared to 500,000 bookmarks in a year on firefox or 30 million albums and videos in 25 years on 150 TB of storage on offline servers and JBOD`s upstairs.
.I`ve got 17 drives on my ROG laptop downstairs - it`s been on 24/7 since 2019 - poor thing ! The fan bearings are a bit trashed and it sounds like a hair dryer with ashthma - nevermind - next.
I collect too much - now I`ve cooled it otherwise I`ll have to move in to my brother`s 5 bed mansion in Ryde; and he collects cars and motorbikes !

Thank You and Bless You Beto Salatini - Sorry to freak you out I`ve been collecting bloomin allsorts since I was a teenager.
Not OCD now - but grew out of it when I was twelve because it overtook my life and was so futile and wasteful.
Very recently, say the last 2 years I`ve delved into decent shaving tackle before then I didn`t know any decent brands or what an an open comb was or anything.
I only knew 3 razor & blade brands haha !
Twenty odd years ago I was honing antique straights on my waist belt using toothpaste when really pushed in some mad places in Africa, M.E. and China etc.
Don`t ask me about brands or where they came from - I wasn`t interested at the time - I just used them and looked at them as tools - like I used to with kitchen knives - whoops - haha !
Let`s think - what do I collect ?
Books, music, leather sandals, shaving gear, kitchen knives, radios, computers, cigarette lighters, soap, shower gel, Hi-fi`s, headphones, speakers, hats, pens, vacuum cleaners, cassettes, cds, records, hand tools, powertools , essential oils, herbs, spices, drinking glasses, cutting boards, batteries, clothes, torches, photos, keyrings - anything to do with Shaun the Sheep - a few things.

My latest count is 5200 Bic CP and 450 Wizamet Iridium super.
His landlord and lifelong friend bequeathed it to him when he died - I don`t really like the South Coast though - I`m more of a Northern Lad nav.
50-100 each of Lord Plat, Lord Classic, Big Ben, Asco Red and Silver Star.
I have mine in various snap lock containers, mainly because the open tucks and some stray ones in the medicine cabinet will last the rest of my life. I use around 5 blades a year (depending on which exact ones I choose) and have 2700 or so.
And now that I have more straight razors that a rational person could want, I may not even use 5 DE blades a year....

Nice one psfred - great for the pocket and environment - well done buddy.
I went straight from horrible cartridges to cut-throats and eventually I got the hang of `em and wangled the angle and could shave on vodka in near darkness with no mirror.
It`s amazing what you can get used to - but at the time I had no choice - rock and a hard place.
