I have a long dress black wool winter coat that I would like to protect when stored and from clothing moths. Any suggestions for the right storage bag that is breathable and sealed against moths?
Yes, Ive read that cedar is not foolproof, nor are mothballs. It's a beautiful coat that I hate to see ruined by clothing moths. I will get it dry cleaned then ask the Cleaner staff about the best sealed garment bag to use, unless any of you have experience with this.Cedar has been shown to be less than completely effective. The main thing is to ensure the garment is clean and has no viable moth eggs present when it goes into its sealed container of choice. You can put the coat in the freezer for several days or have it dry cleaned.
I use one of those rectangular ones with three hangers that holds several items in one bag.Yes, Ive read that cedar is not foolproof, nor are mothballs.
