Actually more like hairy pigs. But dumber.

I've always kind of wanted one of those giant South American guinea pig things. And apparently they can be quite tasty, which is a handy attribute for a pet in these hard economic times.

Are wombats really dumb animals?

Yeah, they eat nuthin' but eucalyptus leaves all day. They are literally drenched in eucalyptus oil. The leaves are very hard to digest so they tend to sleep a lot from the effort. And when they're not sleeping or eating, they're doing the horizontal tango. What a life.

A Wombat walks into a restaurant, is seated at a table, and orders. The waiter brings him his meal, and he eats. But when the waiter brings the check, BAM! The wombat shoots the waiter! The Maitre D' Says, "***? You just shot my waiter! He brings the check, and instead of paying, you SHOOT him! I don't get it!"

"Dude, I'm a Wombat! Look up Wombat in the dictionary", he says, as he leaves the restaurant. While waiting for the cops and ambulance to arrive, he looks up Wombat in the dictionary. Sure enough, it says, "Small, furry animal that eats shoots and leaves".

Wombats would eat eucalyptus leaves but they can't jump high enough.
