Fair, I'd add Spain if I could change it. By the way, where was Filarmonica steel made?

Since I got a laugh reaction to this, I do want to clarify that I was not trying to be sarcastic with this comment. I'm fairly new to this and have seen the Filarmonica razors praised left and right and going for quite steep prices, and understood they were Barcelona based, but really wasn't sure where the steel was sourced from.

The Filarmonicas that I own are very nice shavers. I would love to know what steel was used. Searching the internet has not turned up an answer for me.

Well, according to a post on the previous page, the consensus is that they came from Solingen.

I'm not voting. I initially chose German, then I thought, no my Swedish razors are better, but then my Japanese razors are also really good. But are they better than the Swedes? What about my Rigarazor and how does that compare? It is every bit as good as my Swedes, Germans and Japanese razors. But I also enjoy one or two of my British razors... I need a paracetamol and a lie down at this stage.

While all countries make good razors, the Japanese excel in one area - consistency! That is why they have dominated the U.S. car market for so long. Based on quality control procedures, as taught in Japan by W.E. Deming, the Japanese were able to unburden themselves from the age old "Made in Japan" saying as a reference to poor quality.

Japanese razors are a major part of my collection and I have never gotten one that was not excellent.

Depends on the day, I currently have over 40 razors in my “Rotation”. I will shave with a razor for a couple to a few days. Occasionally I fall in love and will shave with a razor or pair for a couple weeks or a month, until I try another from the queue, and fall in love again.

The rotation is from all over the world, all different sizes and grinds, so it depends, on the day.

I like the razors in my rotation well enough now,
so that club membership changes very slowly.
