Good morning, coffee crew.

Mad Priest Sloth Dispelling. French press. Black.

It's 35° in Music City right now with a high around 38°. It looks like we start another warming trend next week. About 6 hours of solid sleep last night.

I'm looking forward to a shave and I'm meeting some friends at my favorite mexican place for lunch later. Just relaxing at home the rest of the day. 🌮🍻

Have a blessed day, my friends.

Good morning everyone, I hope that you are all doing well. @Major Overkill That includes you, please feel better soon. I personally am dealing with right arm pain, that is likely muscle related, but what you've had to go through, is far worse. I saw the X-ray picture you posted, so if anyone needs to feel better and drink delicious coffee, its you sir! And praise the misses who has carried you along the way, she is a saint!

I am having 6-cups of Bones Sinn-O-Bun, in my 30-oz Yeti tumbler. Delicious! :cuppa:

The Major thanks everyone for the best wishes! As he's said, just knowing that hr won't need more surgery, this time on his shoulder, is a huge relief.

This morning, he had two wake up cups, first the end of his BLK & Bold's Rise & GRND, then Wegmans Ethiopian. It was between that and High Point Cafés Love Blend, and puppy sniff power made the decision for him*. As she's wont to do, Kira picked the African coffee.

Best,
-MO

* no joking, whenever given the choice between an African coffee and one from elsewhere, Kira always picks the African. This has happened consistently enough that I don't think it's purely coincidental.

I thought I would do another Clever cup.

340 grams 184F water
17 grams Melitta French roast ground with a 1ZPresso JX set to 32 whole numbers
Brewer: Clever with Melitta #4 filter
Method: Steep & Strain (aka French Press)

Used a tea kettle to boil water.

100 grams water in the cup to preheat the cup

Loaded and rinsed the filter. Dumped the rinse water.

Poured 340 grams of water into the Clever brewer. Let the water temperature coast down to 184F.

Poured the 17 grams of coffee into the brewer. Used a spoon to wet all the grounds.

At time 2:00 break the crust and knock the grounds from the sides of the filter.

At time 2:45 set the brewer over the empty pre-heated cup.

Pull the brewer at time 3:00

Recycle the filter and grounds. Clean the brewer and dry.

Enjoy 294 grams of Melitta French roast. This cup is sweeter than yesterday’s Mexican brew. Next cup I will try a 19:1 water to coffee ratio.

Cheers!!!

Good morning, coffee crew.

Mad Priest Dark Night of the Soul. French press. Black.

It's 33° in Music City right now with a high around 39° today. Partly cloudy with no rain expected. About 6 hours of sleep last night. I woke up a few times but dozed back off. A few minor errands to take care of today but otherwise just taking it easy.

Have a blessed Saturday, my friends.

G'day all!
Macchiato and a savoiardi biscuit today.
Did some carol singing on Friday evening, had a wonderful time (although I'm not much of a singer myself).
Today went for a little walk (if 6km/3.7m counts as a little walk) to some local shops to get some last minute stocking stuffers (wasn't worth the train fare). Lovely weather for it, warm but clear and a nice breeze.

Morning all:

First of all Happy belated birthday Eric!!

Today is Panera and watching football. It will be interesting to see how this playoff shakes out at the end.

We are 99.9 % done with Christmas gift shopping and wrapping. My son stopped by last night and we went to our locally owned toy store for his kids. It’s similar to a Children’s Palace or a Toys R Us with more crafts and learning toys. I was there earlier this week and purchased a Spirograph for one granddaughter, when we went last night there were none left. We always buy a combination of toys and something educational. Judging from the amount of educational toys sold that seems to be a common theme.
