1 thing in general, is my preference for milder razors after 4 years of classical wet shaving. And the fact that I bought 2 of them again this year, after having sold them earlier on..... this is one of them

My $7 box of Dorco blades was a revelation. They are my smoothest, most effective blades with crazy longevity (~18 to 20 shaves) regardless of the razor I use, whether an OC, CC, or slant.
I have very much enjoyed this Zenith B-33 boar brush. Of my several new boar brushes, this one stands out. It feels great in my hand, with a knot that does everything right and I’m enjoying the changes with patina on my first copper handle.
my rockwell 6s. it blows that crummy 34c I was using out of the water. I will never forget my first shave with that with baseplate 4 being used.

For me the most outstanding purchases I made this year were the Paradigm Ti Diamondback, the Oliworks OliBlade Adjustable, and the Karve Bison. All equally wonderful and different.
Oh, and the brushes would be my Wald J4 badger and my Wald Delphi synthetic. Love both.

For me, that one purchase was clearly the razor that made me crash out not even a month into
the "2024 Shave Purchase Sabbatical, aka The Gentlemanly Restraint Until Year's End RElief" thread (GRUYERE).
That was back in January of 2024 ....!!
That razor was a rare RAADVAD Mejeskær, one I had been trying to get for years -- a Danish made open comb slant presumably from the 1930s or 40s. Now a year on, with lots of experience with it, I have to say it is one of my favourite razors, one of those I use the most.

I would add my Rocnel Elite 2023 to my favorite purchases of this year.... Only a year late. <eg>
I'm no stranger to the Rocnel Elite as I already have the 2022 Elite and the brass Elite from earlier this year. I was a bit surprised the 2023 Elite is, for me.. One man's opinion, of course... better that its processors... By how much? These things are difficult to quantify is any meaningful way as it's subjective... but enough so I doubt either of my other Elites will see much shaving time.
