EDC if you mean Every Day Cleaning knife

The M4 Paramilitary 2 got cleaned and lightly serviced (=> hand sharpened on a 6x2" DMT F/XF plate).

This dude is my primo box-cutter-downer, where in a condo full of idiots is a full time job (& I know how to run a bailer; I've been around some cardboard—) this knife is Batman Ninja-level.

I understand why it's so popular in cutting competitions. Its wear resistance is <chef's-kiss>.

I have been carrying the Para Military 3 LW this week. Love this knife. I really enjoy the compression lock on some the USA made Spydercos. The size and shape of this particular knife makes it excellent for everyday use opening packages and general cutting duties. It has a slender blade that incredibly sharp and slicey. I further appreciate the wire pocket clip for its look and its feel going in and out of the pocket. The smooth wire is also more forgiving on the pocket material, which tends to get frayed along the edge over time with a standard flat metal pocket clip. As much as I really like the larger PM2, this one is much lighter, and virtually disappears in the pocket. The PM3 LW is an all around excellent knife. One of my favorites!

So,

I haven't carried this one recently, but I did take it out and wipe it down to get adhesive and schmoo off, yesterday, or the day before.

This one has the nicest action & lockup of any folder I own, and I have Hinderer & CRK knives in the quiver.

XHP is like ... M4 Lite. It's the only knife I have in this metal but I really like it. It's easy to sharpen like D2 but doesn't seem to need to be as toothy (tho, my D2 blades are all pre-powder metallurgy), so it still slices nicely when the edge has more polish.

Neat-o knife.

Back in the early 00's A friend had one while I had an Endela. I always liked his knife better, but, never got one till recently. I am very happy with it.
That blade shape and the stock thickness make it a mean slicer. But, it's got enough rigidity to take some pushing and twisting if need be (though, it's not my first choice, clearly.)

It's a great urban all-rounder, for sure. And: the fear factor for the Fancy Nancy Crowd when you take it out to actually use it is about the lowest I can think of. It looks ... un-stabby.

But it'd be nice of they could squeeze the Compression Lock into the design. That lockback the only feature on the blade that I'd like to see updated. Even a plain liner lock is a better lockup; it's looked down at less, now, since RIL became the best lock, people see, oh, a liner is just a light RIL design. It's got respect back.
