I don't understand when reading posts reviews about aftershaves when they mention the powdery cool down. i'm sure I didn't phrase it right but have seen this mentioned any many, many posts regarding this. Thank you.
Interesting, I've always thought of Skin Bracer as powdery ... I only used vintage 70's SB (original, Wild Moss, & Dry Lime) and to my nose they all have that same note and skin feel after dry-down.I would use the term 'dry down' to mean the period some time after a scent has been applied, when the often short lived top notes are no longer as prominent, and the longer lasting mid and base notes are more noticeable. A powdery scent for me is one that not only reminds me of baby powder, often with floral notes, but which also leaves the skin feeling as if powder has been applied. For me, Tabac and Royal Copenhagen are examples of a powdery aftershave, while Old Spice and Skin Bracer are not. Traditional barbershop scents are often referred to as powdery.
I Love your razor. The gold and the dimples on the spine are so cool looking. I saw a Dovo that had gold writing and a awesome rigid spine but was told they aren't even shave ready.Welcome to B&B, Sir Blade_Runner37C!
internet says iris, violet, rose, musk. i'd add lavender.
think Clubman, Johnson's baby powder, or even better, Brit Pashana.
