Razor : Gem Junior bar Lather catcher. Mfg 1907-11, mild to tame mid range. Great razor to use with a fresh blade + daily driver for a lot folks IMO. Blast from the past this morning, the fellows back 1900's knew how to make beautiful razors!
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi Black Pearl, very interesting type of freshness scent that the more I use it the more I enjoy it + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sarada Familia" 22mm 2band badger. Very enjoyable badger that works very well and not a lather hog.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Black Pearl + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Junior bar lather catcher with a Gem coated blade.

It was another lovely shave with the Athena this morning. Three passes of two days growth resulted in a great shave. 10

Well today again I used my 1947 Birth Year Super Speed Tech, with a Wilkinson Sword Blade. Day two usage of Blade. My personal beef with this Razor is it needs a longer handle by 1/2” to make it less head heavy.

Again used the Cremo Classic today, tried doing one application, and two passes. This was not a great result, and I decided you got to reapply more Cremo between passes. The Cremo is very slippery, got so so results because of only one application, product don’t still don’t make lather well.

Shave was better than good, call it a 9.2, this was Second Day use of the Wilkinson Sword Blade. This is a super sharp blade, should be interesting to see how many shave blade lasts.

Old Vintage Gillette Shaves real well, better than good.

I would like to add BHS (Baby Head Smell) because, maybe I am becoming crazy, the faint smell that this soap leaves on my skin is similar, to me, to a new born head smell. Weirdly, in use, the stronger smell evokes to me the idea of death in Orient: spices, incense and the transgressive smell of human body. I am not sure of my translation from Italian but "Un viaggio chiamato vita" evokes to me the idea of the cycle of life and death, maybe that was the idea...
