For this Week’s SOTD Theme Week, let’s see the shaving gear that you made from scratch or modified in some way! Show us your homemade or mixed soaps, hand carved SR scales, your amateur brush re-knots or hand made brush handles! Did you and your spouse get all cheeky and make a shaving scuttle a la Swayze and Demi in the movie Ghost? Let’s see it!

This weekly Theme is simple… post pics of your handmade or modified shaving related items. If you don’t have anything themed, post pics of your usual SOTD or just tell us about it.

As always, being creative and having fun IS mandatory but sticking with the theme is NOT mandatory but very strongly encouraged.

Seaworthy Lather Bowl - Abaco. Whipped up a copious batch of slick aromatic lather with Captain’s Choice 45th Parallel shaving soap thanks for the sample @Captain Pre-Capsize Results was another comfortable BBS shave, life is good.

Beautiful lather qualities from this soap. Creamy, slick, and a nice scent too...
A good shave with this razor paired with the blade. Continuing with ice water razor dip in between passes. Hmmm...can sorta feel the blade is not as crisp but still ok for 3passes without any issues for a mix bbs/dfs result. Good aftershaves too.

Today was my typical daily. rinse face, Cella soap, Rockwell 6c R3, Derby Extra (2), Witch Hazel, Lucky Tiger AS. Predictably good. The fun part was using a brush I put together a couple of days ago.



The mint/black handles I found in a random search at Shave Forge in Mesa AZ. Nice folks. The handles made me think of bowling (it makes sense to me). So shaved with the "Donnie", on the left this morning. The "Dude" in the middle last week, and of course Walter on the right. Just because. I don't need to shave with that one again. Nothing fell apart, they worked as well as any plissoft brush. I got the knots at Maggard's by by the way. Always good to deal with.

Guess what? You can shave again tomorrow!
