What's new

So. What instruments do you play?

I see many threads about us musicians, do you play more than one instrument? If so, what do you play? What do you want to learn?

Myself...

Guitar
Bass
Soprano recorder
Alto recorder
Tenor recorder
Irish whistle
Flute
Fife
Mandolin
Banjo
Harmonica
Didgeridoo (if you want to call it an instrument)
French Horn
Ukulele (just learning)

If I ever learn the drums and piano, time to make my own 'Tubular Bells' style recording. (Not joking)

I dabble in guitar. I had a cheap electric as a teen, bought a nice acoustic a few years ago that I break out every few weeks when I have time, and the mood strikes.

I'm a drummer. Presently, my beautiful drum set is in cases, stacked up in the corner of a room at my in laws house. It is a sad state of things, but that's how apartment living is :(

Trumpet
A little piano (wish I played better)
Wish I could play ...banjo, hammered dulcimer, celtic harp, harmonica, fiddle, organ, and flute like Ian Anderson.

The melodeon or button accordion is my main instrument these days as I play it for a local men's morris dance side, running a ceilidh band and general pub sessions.

I started far too many years ago on guitar as most do and currently have four which have hardly been touched since discovering the melodeon 20 years ago!

I am also quite reasonable on mandolin and the Irish short neck tenor banjo. A friend is teaching me fiddle while I teach her melodeon! It's only a mandolin without frets after all!

There are a selection of harmonicas around and I recently picked up a nice Hohner Chromatic I want to get into. I also have a neglected concert Uke.

Piano, sax (alto, tenor), clarinet, drums, guitar (little).

Out of them all it's the piano I'm best at although I wouldn't say I'm really good anymore. Haven't played much in the last 15 yrs or so. The wife and I just picked up a baby grand though so I've been trying to get back into things.

Cheers,

M.

Primarily guitar and mandolin. Also dabble with the piano/organ and various percussion instruments. I'd love to learn to play the banjo and maybe the bouzouki (assuming I can find someone to teach me).

I played clarinet and guitar when I was in school and then set them aside. 30+ years later, I'm playing the a concert ukulele.

Guitar - electric and acoustic.
Bass
A little bit of drums
a little piano

Mostly I play my own stuff...

Just guitar for me, I'd love to learn violin but I'm in an active band and don't really have the time for much else

Bass guitar is my instrument of choice, I love "gluing" the music together. I've been playing piano for years so one could say I'm not bad. I play some acoustic guitar and ukulele and I used to pay alto saxophone and the harmonica. I don't play drums but occasionally play percussion instruments, like the djembe and cajon. I want to learn more gospel and neosoul chords and progressions for the piano and more jazz and slap for the bass.
