I had a little piece of faux horn acrylic blow-up on the lathe recently. It was a short cutoff I was turning for a small 20mm badger and it was disappointing to have it come apart like that. I had another short cutoff of mother of pearl polyester I was going to turn for a second 20mm badger that I went ahead and turned today for the first knot….without surprises thankfully! I also got a box of new stock in yesterday and turned this gold/orange one for an APShave co MiG synth knot I bought recently to try - again, no shrapnel in the face! Not sure what I think of that MiG knot really and to be German, the QC seems low?
