FS Rare: Wiborg Knight White Badger 28mm Faux Ebony

First owner brush, comes with all the original packaging.
Part of a large rotation so hasn't been used much.
Fan shaped 28mm knot set at a 52mm loft.

This is a superb knot that exhibits super gel tips and features
an ultra-luxurious face feel coupled with medium backbone.
The rim of the brush has some scuff marks that, I believe,
came from swirling the brush in a MDC glass jar...this has
no bearing on the prime purpose of the brush, but it's
something you should be aware of and it is represented
in the pictures below. No shedding issues at all, extremely well
behaved knot.

To the best of my knowledge, these are not being offered
any more, at least not with this batch of hair, which many regard
as the best that Wiborg ever put out. (a subjective claim)

Price: $600 (tracked international shipping included)
PP F&F not possible, add 5% for PP G&S
No Trades

Additional selling notes for transparency:

I had listed this brush some months before and received a deluge of overly enthusiastic buyers. This made me realise that I had underpriced it, based on its current status as a rare piece that will never be repeated. So I withdrew it.

Unknown to me at the time was the fact that some of these potential buyers were collectors who buy, sell and trade such merchandise like baseball cards, so I realise that I had rubbed some relatively motivated forum regulars the wrong way. One of them immediately posted "he asked me about shipping and then vanished" as if to imply some sort of foul play. I have sold some prime vintage and modern stuff across all major shave forums and will direct you to my trader feedback there. B&B has no trader feedback so I am happy to provide references of members who have purchased gear from me.

Offered for sale... deluge of overly enthusiastic buyers... offer withdrawn? I guess that is fair... until the actual deal is struck. Seems like a good way to test the waters... and maybe even that is fair. It is indeed a pricey, and I suspect very nice, brush. I want to learn more about Wiborg Knight brushes. GLWTS.

Listed for $450... had too much interest so withdrew to list for $630.

B&B is not about extorting fellow hobbyists. This belongs on the auction site.

I respectfully disagree with any extortion claims made. My first post on B&B addressed this exact issue. I think it's worse for a bystander to offer input as to what an item should or should not be sold for. A seller has every right to sell an item for a price they wish to list even if after finding they may have low balled the item previously.

By selling on the auction site, a seller immediately loses 10% or must prepare to lose as much if the sale does not meet their targeted price. This also gives a buyer an opportunity to not have to go through the hassle and price uncertainty of the auction. If I was a buyer who had been searching for this brush I might be elated to see it being offered on BST no matter the price. If the item doesn't sell for what he is asking, then the market will dictate. It is no ones business but the seller and eventual buyer as to what is a negotiated price.

For buying transparency. All the drama aside, why not just list it at $630, vs. the against PayPal TOS statement of + 5%. Where exactly are you getting 5% anyway? PayPal costs 2.9% + $0.30. 5% really means you are charging extra for G&S. You are not only violating the TOS, you are making a decent profit on it. For that I call shenanigans.

I think you are making some unsubstantiated assumptions....I am not based in the US and Paypal regulations
are different in my location. There is both a transaction fee as well as what is known as a 'conversion fee'. Even for the US, your figure of 2.9% +30 cents is incorrect.

So PayPal's site that states what I typed is incorrect then? Please show me how I am wrong. Also, you are still in violation of the TOS by charging a separate fee for the service. If you are not in the US, where are you since you have hidden your profile on here.

That information has been freely shared with buyers in the past...I do not volunteer such details to
irrelevant parties. If anyone is uncomfortable with the Paypal fees I have stated,
they are most welcome to steer clear.

So if anyone is uncomfortable violating PayPal's terms of service that you agreed to when signing up for an account steer clear, but you are ok with it. Roger, GLWTS.

I think you're deliberately spreading misinformation to negatively impact
a BST ad.

I haven't violated any terms anywhere or this ad would be gone.

The text clearly says:

"Price: $600 (tracked international shipping included)
PP F&F not possible, add 5% for PP G&S"

I have clearly stated that PP F&F is not an option and that buyers must add 5%
to the price for PP G&S fees. Most people have access to a calculator so they can work out
what that means. Except you, obviously.

Read PayPal terms of service. I can read just fine.

I have visual proof of Paypal's rates taken from their site.
If any mod or (gasp) even a potential buyer asks to see it, I will be
happy to PM them. Now run along, surely you can find another legit
sales thread to disrupt.

You are missing the point here. I'll give you a visual:

from their user agreement:

PayPal

As I have been pointing out, and you have been ignoring, your 5% is a surcharge and against PayPal's user agreement. Technically speaking international sales are 4.5% plus a fixed fee based on country. Anyway you slice it you are violating this agreement.

Technically speaking international sales are 4.5% plus a fixed fee based on country.

And it has been clearly pointed out that buyers will have to bear this charge which, when you factor in the
fixed fee, adds up to 5%.

If you have such a beef with this listing, complain to the mods, let them open my
original post for editing and I'l edit it as follows:

"Price: $630 (tracked international shipping included)
Inclusive of 5% PP G&S fees"

Hope this satisfies you, so you can move on with your life and fight some other
grave crimes being committed on shaving forums.
