I have two Variants - a SB Graphite that I bought in 2019, and an OC Satin Chrome purchased this February.
On both razors, the finish on the handle looks dull and sort of worn.
The graphite one was stored in a snug leather case, so I figured perhaps the leather or tanning agents had something to do with it. I ended up getting some black acrylic paint and refinishing it.
The chrome one, however, was only stored in a plastic container, yet the finish lost its shine and is just dull.
90% of time, I just rinse my razors with hot water and dry with a towel. Once every couple of months, I spray them with Rubbing Bubbles and then rinse with water, which is perfectly fine on all other razors. I don't use vinegar, alcohol, or any other cleaners.
So, just curious, how do your Variants hold up ?
