One bad shave, and here I am

The first few months are fun, trying out different products and finding what works best for you. I'm definitely in the minority, but I prefer Merkur blades in my 34G. A friend of mine has used only Feathers since he got his.

Feather worked well for me so far... maybe I'll get lazy and keep the Merkurs and they'll make it into the rotation eventually. I'm always forgetting to buy stuff when I am almost out of it, so I imagine that eventually = probably.

Congratulations on that first DE shave! You've started already, but the Feather blade is what I would have suggested too.

Congrats man! And welcome. I'm five shaves in with my DE and I have to tell you, it's a night and day difference from day one. Keep with it and it becomes a very pleasurable experience. Almost like a competition to see if you can shave better than the previous day

Welcome. Check to see if they have any Astra blades. To me this is a good beginner blade, and yet, one that you will always keep in your rotation.

+1 on the Astras. Those are the only ones I use.

Thanks again guys! I'm 2 shaves in now, and other than accidentally going against the grain on part of my neck (old habit) and getting a bit of razor burn that wore off a few hours later, it was ok. So far it's a very satisfying experience. awesome.
