Chasing a keeper Dorko for a few years, I'm a massive fan of Swedish steel & I got weak at the knees. Re-scale a gentle polish general tart up and then onto the stones..
I'm leaning towards what I re-scaled my Parker 1001 in, I'll try find a photo of it and post it up. Really pops nice in the sun & good light but isn't in your face either. What are you going to rescale her with? Fantastic pickup!
I feel they were near the very best of what Solingen ever did in terms of razors, best steel and craftmanship were on display. Don't get may up for offer my way. What Dorko's have you got fella? Like I mentioned I had a 1151 for a while and it was a very top tier shaver, the gent I sold it to just loved it. It had just a little to much hone wear towards the toe for me to want to keep, a razor really has to talk to me now or I'd end up with hundreds, lol..I’m also fond of Dorko, nice catch!
Sure is, no it's the first Swedish steel 14 I've personally ever seen so I just had to have it being a massive fan of Swedish steel. Don't see many Dorko 14's, I got the scales off and gave it a bit of a polish. Are post a photo of how it looks now soon. That is a beauty. You don't see a lot of these.

Or this.. What do you think? The Parker 1001 photos are not doing it justice. What are you going to rescale her with? Fantastic pickup!
Great shavers! Black scales was my first ever straight purchase in 1990. It was a good first purchase that has held up nicely, despite all the abuse I put it through, especially some early attempts at honing, what did I know? The NOS 42 is working out well also, I enjoy them both.I feel they were near the very best of what Solingen ever did in terms of razors, best steel and craftmanship were on display. Very nice that! When I search the Internet, I see the Dorko 14 with white and marble scales. If the razor were mine, I would try to approximate the marble look. Here is a great photo of Brad's (@haggis's) Dorko 14 in marble scales. That is one fine looking razor!
