Noxzema classic shave cream?

Has anyone here ever used this? I'm interested, and the only place I can currently find that has it is Pasteur Pharmacy--thinking of putting a tub on my Christmas list but wanted some opinions first.

Hi! Noxzema Classic Shaving Cream comes in an opaque glass jar with screw cap can also be used as a cream for shaving but also as pre or post shave.
I used it years ago, it is super soft and velvety, applies easily and gives off a pleasant scent with light lemon notes.
The actives present help make the skin soft and toned, preparing it for a comfortable shave and restoring a perfectly relaxed after-shave.
In my experience this cream has a good lubrication that allows a very good smoothness of the razor blade, discreet post shaving
As mentioned has a nuanced, unremarkable smell.
If you think you might like it for a few dollars you can buy it no problem, you will see that you will not regret it.

Would you mind telling me which one you prefer?

I've never used the shaving cream. I suspect it's pretty good. But that Classic Clean ... it's fantastic as a shaving cream. It doesn't rinse as easily as a soap. But it does come off. I've even used it with my Athena and it mostly rinsed away. But when it doesn't, I just loosen the handle and the Athena fountains clear quite quickly. I haven't used anything that provided more slickness, glide and cushion than Noxzema Classic Clean. And it will level up you're ATG pass to dream status. Seriously. :)

Noxzema Classic Clean is the blue container that you can pick up practically anywhere -- like your local grocery. I've never tried the white shaving cream container.
this is soo cool. going to pick some up today. last question: does it lather? i assume not but want to confirm.

Nah, it doesn't lather. Just wet the face -- don't use a lot of water -- and then apply the cream to the face. Don't gob it on. You'll figure it out. But remember what I said. It doesn't wash off the razor as easily as soap. But it does wash off. After you're done, you may want to wipe the razor off. Or at least wipe the razor off when you change the blade. I swear it gives a great shave.

the fact that you have taken a picture with it, shows to go that it is a winning product. I'll hopefully pick some up on the way home!!

Sorry, I never tried Noxzema Original Classic Clean.
I have only used Noxzema Classic "Crema rasatura perfetta" and Nozxema Shaving Cream Cocoa butter in yellow tube.

you weren't kidding.

I went out and bought that yesterday. Complete impulse buy. I never do this kind of thing.

The Noxema OCC cost less than $5. I justified it to myself by acknowledging that I needed a new facial cleanser, and I like camphor.

The background is that I have recently acquired a new razor, the razor rock super slant level 3 ++ in SB. I am currently doing blade experimentation.

it gives me without a doubt the closest shave I have ever had. But, the price is that my skin feels a bit hot after the first shave. if I shave two days in a row, my skin gets angery. I

Well, I shaved yesterday with a permasharp. It felt a bit hot afterwards, and that was just after the first shave.

this morning, I rubbed some preshave on my face, and then added the noxema mixed with a bit of water.

It was very weird at first, because there was a bit of drag. I quickly realized that the trick was to not rinse of the razor, so it can stay lubricated.

after the 2nd pass I reapplied some product and then some water.

When I rinsed it off, I was shocked that it didn't burn at all. And it wasn't just the cooling agent in the product - I am all too familiar with the "cool burn."

Rather, my skin was not at all ANGERY. I am shocked. This is a great product that demands more people try it!

Now I never tried shaving with this product from them, but I will tell you it is GREAT for getting out sunburn. My mother used it on us for that all the time.
