Hello fellow shavers,
I take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a 57 years old Swiss with Italian heritage and I'm deep into wet shaving since around 2017. Therefore I'm not a newbie, rather a new old stock to the forum as per the title of this post.
Like many of you, as soon as I felt into the rabbit hole I stored an obscene amount of shaving gear: razors, both new and vintage, soaps, creams, brushes, blades and so on in the impossible mission to find the holy grail, that particular piece of gear capable to rule them all. Have I succeeded? Not even close I must say. I'm sure you know that itch never ends.
However, during the years, I forced myself to thin the den. I kept less than a half of the stuff as I learned I had some clear preferences. During my stay here on the forum I will be happy to share my experiences and maybe some unnecessary suggestions for all those new members who are entering this crazy hobby for the first time. My other hobbies are photography, fountain pens, I'm a watch guy (ofc being Swiss) and, as the avatar suggest, I love to occasionally treat myself with a good cigar.
In the meantime, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a fantastic and prosperous New Year!
