Musgo Real Shaving Creams -- Review

I've been a Musgo Real fan for a while. Yeah $30/tube is pricing me out. .... I'm also getting the sense they are retracting from the shaving segment of their market. The creams are now only 3, 1 hard puck refill and the only aftershave is the Classic balm.
Things have been slowly disappearing off the roster of their sister company Ach Brito as well. Too bad, both are top of the line.
My brother-in-law also loves Musgo. He has two soaps and two Classic creams.

Sadly I never knew these soaps before they got expensive but I find the performance to be pretty good. So far I’ve tried the Original, Oakmoss and Black Edition. Original and Oakmoss are quite strongly scented where the Black Edition is more subdued. Sadly I had a mild reaction to the Oakmoss but that is pretty common for me with Frougere scents. The Black is by far my favorite.

I find your comments about oak moss same as mine plus the black is my favourite too. OK, there are chea0er creams which are good which may put people reluctant for buy this cream but there's no funny ingredients for them.. hope they're not closing down.
I look on amazon as they sometimes have offers.

So can anyone else confirm that the scent of the "Classic" has been changed from the one they sold, say, ten years ago? I loved that one but don't want to take my chances at these prices.

Yes. Don't bother with the new stuff. It's horrible. It's artificial, and unnatural. I didn't even finish my tube and threw it out, knowing full well how much that silly thing cost. They tried to approximate the old fragrance, but instead of simply leaving matters be, they enshittified it all, marking it all up by a whopping 250% in the process (Google 'enshittification' if necessary). I've since moved over to Cyril R. Salter, and White Proraso, although I'm still debugging the last one (owing to its water glass formulation which throws most previous experience out of whack).

Thus I sinned against the First Law of Wetshaving: If you find a product you really, really like (to the point where you can picture yourself shaving with it for years and years on end)... Stock. The. Bloody. Hell. Up. Make it birthday presents. Make it X-mas presents. Make it Father's Day presents. Spend your bonus on it. But Stock. Up.
