Blade: Van Der Hagen
After-Shave: Fine Platinum

Today’s shave was better than yesterday, lather was a lot better as I wasn’t as stingy with soap, and made sure my brush was fully fully loaded. I’m really not liking these blades with my razor, I just can’t seem to get it right. Today I had four or five weepers by the end of my shave. I really enjoyed the scent of today’s soap, it was very natural with notes of Vanilla and Cinnimon. Very nice. Aftershave was interesting, i’ve used a handful of different aftershaves up until this point, and none of them have stung the way this one has stung. I think it was because of the menthol but I pretty much did the Kevin scream from home alone when I put it on. It felt like icy hot on my face but then it became a much more mellow and cooling sensation with a really good scent. The website says it’s like Creed Aventus again but it smelled more fresh and crisp. Would try again but that feeling just caught me off guard. Have a great Monday!

..and I have had a couple of those....

Hmm not that I have tried pre 2016 Derby Extra blades, but the rumor has it that the pre 2016 Derby's are shall we say challenging. I have post 2016 Derby Extras and I think they are ok, but many will disagree with me.

It has been quite the busy week! I’ve been out and about and all over so this morning I finally had time to shave properly and had about 5 days of growth. Did a WTG, then XTG, and finally ATG. Glide was there, lather had everything you wanted I just know how to get the Cella lathered. I truly think this was my first BBS. One spot on my left jawline XTG that I didn’t get all the way but everywhere else is perfectly smooth. One small weeper that’s sealed up quick but otherwise a perfect shave. Watching Leeds United this morning, Ravens Football this afternoon. Cooking for the family, wings and fries. Have a great Saturday!

I’ve played soccer my whole life, watched it a bit here and there on TV, had a Wayne Rooney jersey (ironic I know), but never had a team. About 3 years ago when they were still in the Prem I put all the Prem teams on a wheel and spun it and got someone I forget who and my buddy said “forget that be a Leeds Fan they have a lot of American Players” as they had McKinnie and Adams at the time and maybe Aaronson at the time. So I said why not and got a home kit and scarf that day and I’ve never looked back. I’m planning a trip to Elland Road next year. Been a weird ride hopefully it’s our year.

I know almost nothing about football, which makes me weird as it is pretty much the secular religion in this country. Rugby is my sport - I played as a kid and follow it as an adult.

I hope you have a good trip over here. Do take the time to visit some other places too in addition to Leeds. Also, as an American if you call it "football" instead of "soccer" when speaking to the natives they will probably be quietly impressed and know you are a serious fan!

Rugby is my sport - I played as a kid and follow it as an adult

I gave rugby a shot for a few year when I was little but I ended up playing American Football. I’m excited to go, should be around this time next year! I gotta brush up on my Leeds United history though.

The old nut that secured the old faucet was calcified and rusted on there so it took about 45 minutes to get off… but after that easy sailing till it stopped working today. We aren’t doing Christmas till after my sister gets off work at 3 so I have a task this morning.

What a Christmas… long day waiting for my sister to come home from work. She’s a whole other story for a different day. But I was spoiled by my family.

My brother also got a shave starter set kinda besides a razor he got soap, aftershave, and a brush from WSP since my dad uses it a lot.
