Mastering the 15 minute shave

I use my 30 minute shave to get myself in the right frame of mind in the morning anything less is a good shave wasted. IMHO.

I think you just get faster the more you use the DE. I've only been doing this for 6 months and have sped up considerably. If you've been using a DE for years I'll bet you can whip out a shave in lickety-split.

Trying to get from DFS to BBS costs me a lot of time.

This.

I sometimes get angry and apply pressure. Then my face gets angry back and rips in two.

Then we're both sad:blushing:

On my cheaks I actually need to apply pressure. I could go over my cheaks a million times without getting a closer shave (or any noticable irritation), so I tried applying some pressure and got a closer shave.

On the other hand I have very insensitive skin everywhere except on my neck.

Cool! I can get done in less than that- one pass with a straight or a couple of passes with a DE. My shower time doubles as prep time saving me 5 minutes each morning.

I can reliably get a 3 pass DFS in 15 minutes. I shave after I shower, and face lather, which helps reduce the prep. time involved. For a 4 pass BBS with touch ups takes 30-40 minutes, which I have relegated to weekends and special occasions. I enjoy both methods either way, and I am very pleased that i went back to using a DE.
