Locations / Where to Buy Map

Maybe I'm missing it, but it seems like it'd be nice to have a map that shows storefronts and what shaving supplies they carry.

As best I can tell, there aren't any local shops that sell artisan soaps. But I'm not 100% sure. If there was a map that showed locations to buy supplies, then likely I'd buy local. But short of that - it's hard to know if any soaps, blades, etc. are available locally.

I'm also an avid pinball collector, and pinside is where the pinheads hang out. There's a user-maintained map on the site where I can see what pinball machines are around town. I can filter down to a specific machine. Again, all user maintained.

Something similar here would be nice. Filter down to soaps, or a brand of soap, etc.

Just a thought. Maybe something like this exists somewhere and I'm missing it?

Unfortunately it's badly out of date.
No one here contributes to the Wiki it seems.

Yeah, wish there was a map where you can ad-hoc add places, thinking about locally owned shops. For instance, I was in Cincinnati, OH this past weekend and found that there was a location downtown selling artisan soaps. I found that in a thread from 10 years ago (on reddit, IIRC) and googled the location and supposedly they still have the soaps. I didn't make it there for various reasons.

Likewise, the site also said that the Centerville barber shop had Stirling soaps. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to get some. They didn't have any - ugh (despite showing what looks like Stirling soap on their webpage). I did get a nice Stirling splash, but no soap. Dude running the place kinda looked at me like I had a 3rd head when I asked about soaps....

As Phil said, we don't have a map here, all we have is the list in the Wiki.

The good news is the Wiki is editable by anyone. So you can update the list. And/or use the list and make a map yourself.
