List of blades without wax spots?

None on my 27 blade, solar battery powered, glow in the dark, 500 vibrating cycles pec second, 5hp motorized Gillette cartridges.

Why do glue/wax spots matter so much?

Too much wax on a blade can gunk up a razor. TTOs are especially vulnerable due to the multitude of moving parts that reside in the head. For two and three piece razors it's just frustrating to clean out the wax periodically. The wax on some of the PPI Gillettes is so generous that it sometimes extends over the blade edge

To me it does not matter one bit. I dump the blade on bathroom paper after each shave, run the razor under very hot water and wipe the razor clean and dry with bathroom paper. Wax comes right off. As for the wax extending over the edge of the blade, I never noticed it affecting the shave, the blade bites right through the wax like it's not even there. Of course this is my opinion and there are those that the wax absolutely turns them off, that's fine with me too.

Digging up an old thread here, but important as loads of new razors have very tight tolerances and the blades end up sticking to the caps or base plates if they have wax dots.

Anyway, I recommend:

Treet 7 Days Platinum

Bloody sharp, smooth, last ages and no darn wax spots either!

Back when this thread started, the four wax spots on blades from the PPI plant in St. Petersburg, Russia, were insufferable, IMHO. Since then I've noticed on Astra SS blades
that I've purchased recently that there are just two thinner spots, easily managed. Also
have noticed in displays for 7 o'clocks from the same plant a similar pattern of just two
thinner, lighter wax spots. Though I don't need blades now, a deal on green 7 o'clocks
from PPI is tempting...

And, they get great gas mileage!
Replaced the spark plugs and plug wires on mine earlier this year, and the oxygen sensor
just last month. Gas mileage is back to about what it was when I got it.

I had started a similar thread a while back.
Are there any good blades without goo on them?

This is the list I had so far:

Bic Chrome Platinum
Crystals
Gillette Super Thin (Thailand)+
Kai
Personna Lab
Personna Med+
Personna Red?
Personna (Isreal)
Shark
Silver Star
Viking's Sword
Vokshod

I use Kai.

Many of the blades mentioned in this thread do have wax spots (like Indian Gillettes).

I noticed Astra's reduced the amount of wax they use now. Just 2 light spots in the center. I can live with that. The Gillette Silver Blues (GSB) are a very nice blade but I can't stand the wax on them. They really load up the wax on them.
I had to give them up (GSB) because they made a mess of my newly plated Gillette NEW razor. Very hard to remove the wax on it.

All Lord blades are wax spot free. That includes Sharks, Racers*, Ascos, Crowns, and Big Bens

In addition,
Personna Reds
Crystals
Rapiras
Voskhods
Personna Med/Lab/Barber
Dorco
Indian/Chinese Gillette
and Bics(I believe)

are also wax free. Someone check me on Bics

+1 on the Dorcos. I use the Prime Platinum, and its nice to have no wax whatsoever on the blade.
