Lab Series for Men

Has anyone tried Lab Series for Men? I forget who makes it. I used to use it 6-7 years ago when I still used a M3, before my switch to electric. It is available at department stores. It features a topical analgesic to help people get through a shave with a cartridge. I was curious if it lathers and/or if it is any good.

I think it is Aramis... I haven't tried their shave-related products, just the multi-action face wash (which I liked, and was fine for me).

Yes, Lab Series is made by Aramis, which is a division of Estee Lauder. I've had relatively bad luck with their products as they are extremely chemical-laden and a bit too harsh for my skin. Of course, YMMV.

I use the AS Balm which is fanatastic. A bit pricey, but what the heck.

I would save your money.

I used a tube of it several years ago. If memory serves, it was a pretty thick paste that didn't lather terribly well, had a strange chemical/medicinal scent and had a numbing agent that dulled the feeling in your face.

I have a tube of this stuff right now. It has to be the absolute worst stuff ever made (If you want to use a brush). It doesn't lather at all...it just sorta spreads out. I've been trying for the last 20 minutes about every combo of water and cream to get it to lather properly. I think it is just supposed to like coat your face. It also happens to sell like a barrel of various chemicals mixed together.

I got it for Christmas in a set with razor burn relief, face wash, and moisture gel. Those three are pretty good.
