Journal preferences regarding ruling

I prefer dot grid for my journals, but ruled for just general writing. I guess the reason is that for my journal I use a bullet style and I will have vertical lines etc which the dot grid works well with whereas ruled would not.
Not familiar with "college ruled" ... ??

Narrower line spacing.
Unruled, with lined guide pages behind so I can use different line spacing for different nibs
it's narrower than narrow ruled
It's for dudes with beards, who still live with their parents
Dot grid if I can get it, wide ruled if dot grid isn’t available. Paper quality is much more important to me than the ruling though. It shouldn’t be prone to feathering or ghosting, although thin paper like Tomoe River does ghost a lot. Inks look great on that paper though.
Good fountain pen friendly paper I tried is Rhodia, Maruman Mnemosyne, Tomoe River, Paperblanks and Gmund. I stay away from Moleskine and some Leuchtturm paper is also not to my liking.

I prefer a lined paper, with the lines closer together rather than farther apart (as I like to use a fine nib pen and write with a finer printing handwriting.)

5mm grid, dot grid a second choice. I prefer XF, then F nibs and write small generally using a personalized Bullet system. If I need 10mm, easy enough. Never needed 15, but still easy
I used and preferred college ruled notebooks in school (HS/college). Seemed harder to find last time I looked for any, especially legal odd for folios. It’s no longer a big need

I like blank pages.
I prefer roughly college ruled (7mm) lined spacing. Apica CD-15 notebooks are what I usually use for journaling.
Dot grid for the bullet journal. Longhand journals are Clairefontaine lined 8mm.
If they give you ruled paper, write the other way.
