Interpretation of AC razor specs?

In looking at different AC razors, I sort of wondered: can you interpret specs like blade gap and exposure similarly to DE razors? I assume not? I realized in looking at them that I don't have any sense of how aggressive one would be compared to another. There's also the aggressiveness of the blades, which seems like a different world than with DE blades.

You won't really capture how the razors feel by comparing the specs between DE and SE, but all the same rules apply and you can get a decent sense of efficiency from specs. AC razors should be compared using the same blade (Feather Pro is a good benchmark).

Do you have DE razors you love at the moment? That might give you a clue was to which AC razor will work the best for you... Lots of us have both DE and AC razors, so if we have more information, we might be able to give you more targeted advice.

My favorite razors are the Gillette Slim which I use at 2, and Tatara Muramasa, which I use between 1 and 2. I also have a Superadjustable that I like but don't use as often, usually around a 1, because it's more aggressive.

Basically I like really mild razors. I guess I have some limit somewhere (the Slim at 1 usually feels too mild for example) but pretty mild.

I don’t use any adjustable razors, but I do like upper mild to lower medium efficiency razors.

I hope some other people chime in soon.

You prefer mild razors I see. I would recommend the La Faulx classic base plate or similarly mild razors like Vector Lite or Yaqi Romulus. With a La Faulx you could add more aggressive base plates in future. AC razors also have the advantage to increase aggressiveness by changing the blades.

I've been admiring the Vector Lite but was hoping they'd have it in titanium. For some reason the La Faulx was off my radar until just recently but I do appreciate the mild aggressiveness options Atelier Durdan offers across their line of razor heads.
