Hey Rob, you want to wear the hat, not let the hat wear you. In other words, pick a hat that compliments your facial features. Here is a web site that might help you.

Thanks! That confirms what I've been looking for and what close friends have been telling me.
Hmmm... keep your friends close... and your enemies closer. Keep your eyes peeled for shenanigans.

Rob... buddy... how to break this to you?..... no matter what your friends tell you, you do NOT look good in hot pink spandex. There, I've said it.
Are you kidding even if I wanted hot pink spandex you can't find them these days. Everywhere I go they tell me some Penguin in Connecticut is buying them all up.
I'm not sure if the brim is too wide for you but I have one of these and it is a nice hat. Akubra Bogart.
So did you drop the whole hat idea?
There is a hat shop in Green Bay and I can't understand how they possibly stay in business. My wife barely tolerates the two hats that I occasionally wear. If I got a dress hat I think she would avoid being near me when wore it.
Yet I see the attraction. Hats look cool to us guys.
Keep 'em coming fellas! I haven't yet decided on pricepoint so for now, treat this thread as though money is no option. I'll take any/all suggestions.
Actually, you know... that wouldn't look bad with a black suit .... assuming you don't mind looking like a pimp who lost his feather that is.
So, just curious, don't you have to go about in uniform? Why the black suit?
Oh well, that is different! Here is my go to guy for hats (he has made me three):

Art is probably one of the best custom hat guys in the U.S. (Optimo hats in Chicago would be one of the best as well).
Highly recommend www.villagehatshop.com since I own a number of fedoras that I purchased from them. Best prices on the web, fast shipping, always received in excellent condition, HUGE selection, and occasional sales. I have a thing for nice hats and these guys have variety. No I'm not working for them, just one happy customer!
Thanks guys! Keep 'em coming! Oh and Rich, no red hats!
Fine. Be that way.
