What's new

I have returned...

So,

To put it concisely, I’m back… and it is good to be back. To those B&B’ers who have been here for a while; it will be nice to converse with y’all on a (semi-)regular basis again. And to those who are new since I was last frequenting the forum; welcome to B&B, it will be good to get to know you.

First, I think that I should apologize for being late getting back to B&B*. I’ve actually been home for a little more than a week but am just getting back to the forum now. All I can say is that things were a little hectic here and I decided to deal with my off-line life before dealing with my online life. It would appear that my off-line life is (more-or-less) back in order (i.e. bills are paid, the academic year has begun, etc) and now I’ve got to somehow figure out how to catch up on more than a month worth of B&B’ing (I don’t believe that this is possible, but I am willing to try).

For any of you who are interested, the trip was great, but was very tiring and the wedding was about as close to flawless as I think is possible.

We spent about 6 weeks on the road and during that time traveled about 12,000 kilometers through 5 provinces (in a Honda Civic, none the less – surviving this trip, IMHO, speaks volumes about the strength our relationship).

In addition to having a good trip (one that took me through the towns of Badger and Crabtree) and a great wedding I’ve developed a ravenous appetite for all things mint-y… that said, I cannot find any worthwhile mint scented (and feeling) shower soap. Does anybody have any suggestions?

*Maybe this is more of an explanation than an apology.

Glad you had a good time and welcome back. As for minty like bath soap you may want to try Origins Mint Wash. It's been awhile since I've used it but as I remember it smells great.

p.s.
as I pressed the reply button I realized that I was thinking of face soap. Which is what the origins mint wash is for. sorry 'bout that. but you still might want to check it out.

Good to have you back!!

Beautiful picture, but isn't she a bit TALL for you? Or are you just SHORT!!??

I like to think that I am of "average" height  ... I also like to think that I have the body of a god, but that's neither here nor there...

congratulations... and for soap. If you like the liquid/showergel there's Dr. Bronner's and Nancyboy. If you want a bar, Burt's Bee's makes a peppermint bar soap

Congrats Michael!

I knew once the novelty wore off, you'd be back.

LOL. Nick, I expect that it will be a long time before the novelty wears off, as you put it... and even longer before SWMBO (AKA TW - "The Wife") lets me admit that the novelty has worn off.

Slider, I think that the Burt's Bee's bar of soap has been discontinued - too bad, I love that stuff. Can anybody confirm whether or not this soap has been discontinued?

Michael,

Congratulations, and welcome back. I know things are off to a good start for you because you're driving a Honda! And I'll go out on a limb and agree with you, you do have the body of a dog. Of course, I'm dyslexic...

Just a little good natured ribbing. I hope that the novelty never wears off for either one of you.
