How to navigate all the variety of Razorock SS razors?

I was about to purchase a stainless steel razor, but very confused about all the models and how they are different from each other.

Any tips on how to navigate this complexity and understand what would be appropriate to buy?

The Game Changers are all on the mild side without much blade feel. The Lupos are more aggressive with more blade feel. The BBSs and Mambas are mild and take some time to get used to and find the blade angle that cuts the best. I think the Lupos are the best of the bunch.

Here's a picture that might help:

I believe a lot of RR stainless razors have covered blade tabs.

If you are the type of person that needs access to the corner of the blade to shave under the nose, make sure the razor head design is angled, rounded, or notched towards the blade corner.

The Lupo line has these notches.

If you would like something a little unique, take a look at the RR SuperSlant.. There is a pretty extensive thread here about it. It took me a few tries to get the right version, but I have the L2++OC SuperSlant now and love it. I am using a titanium razor handle and thought I should add that information.

I’m on my phone right now or I’d post the link. You can search for it, if you are interested. Plus someone else might post the link.

If you are starting out, consider the Lupo dual comb model. You can try both safety bar and open comb in the same razor. Plus it is the best dual comb I have used.

The Superslant is a great razor, but the high cost design and the many baseplate variations can be daunting. It is not easy to machine a Superslant. Or choose among 12 baseplates.

If you're new to shaving with a safety razor, I'd recommend starting with the Game Changer 68p, if you want to start with a Razorock. Use that as you learn and build your technique. You can then go up in baseplates if you like.
