how many members have only one razor?

Hello there,

Well I use two at the moment . A Merkur C38 and an Edwin Jagger DE89L .
After using the Merkur for a year , the EJ feels so small and light. Seems to be easier to shave with so far. Don't plan on buying more safety razors , just more creams and soaps. Although , on that note I already have an embarrassing amount ! :blushing:

When does the line blur between a passionate interest and an addictive obsession ? Aaaarrrggghhhhhhh

enjoy the glide !

Last count I had 47 razors. I've just gone through my eBay Won list and my PM's here and I've got another 12 on the way so in a week or 2 I'll have around 60 razors but I'll probably have another 10 on the way then as well. Where will it stop, who knows.

The reminds me of a pool table, very nice and original.:001_cool:......Now that I think about it.... probably the coolest razor rack I've seen...:thumbup1:

I move that we ban JCD for trying to put sick thoughts into people's minds.

I have to say, I really only use one 95% of the time....and that is my ABC Pocket....:001_cool:

Currently only have one, a Merkur with a bar and I'm thinking about moving to a comb.

I'm currently after vintage Super Adjustable, but I'm after a very specific model (I want third quarter 1969 to match my age) so have not had any luck so far with a WTB thread.

So until then - still just one...

I didn't get the adjustable, but have just picked up a 1969 O3 Super. :w00t:

My slow, inexorable collapse into the pit of Acquisition Disorder has begun...

I started out with an HD, but fiddled with SE because I found one in an antique store, liked it (the razor), but found out I'm an open comb guy rather than a straight bar guy, so got on to eBay and B/S/T and discovered vintage open comb with those cool cases they come in...1920's...and saw what deplorable shape they were in, and went to the wiki and saw the restoration post, so got some Hydrocide and MetalWax stuff, and when I saw Buy It Now on eBay I emailed about the asking, usually ended up paying 1/2, so now I have about twenty razors in various stages of Get Back To New plus their cases and blade banks, which I'll probably sell once I get 50 posts here at B&B, or alert the group to one of my auctions on eBay, because my stuff is mint, but I really haven't gotten going on brushes and I don't understand the guys who have 25+ fragrances, but who am I to judge?, maybe that bug will bite too, but I've only been wet shaving for about two months.

That's the short version.

my first DE was a Merkur 23c but after a while, I tried a few superspeeds, a tech, a bull mastiff/New (which was a close second) but after all that I finally realized that none of them gave me a better shave than my 23c. So now, the 23c is my only razor and I'm a happy camper.

I have one razor.... at a time, that is. Once I find one I like, it becomes my everyday razor and I sell of PIF the old one rather than have it sitting unused.

I've finally found my niche. Something both antique and vintage that I can collect and that can still be used as well today as the day it was made. Oh, and they are also quite affordable.

I have only one (kind of) razor: 2 fatboys. Hvae owned up to 13 at one time but did some reverse RAD and paired it down to an E1 and an E3 fatboy. Both save wonderfully.

I just recently joined and am still quite new to Wetshaving....but I seem to have already aquired over 30 razors :blushing:. I personally like having the luxury of choosing what razor to use so I try and switch up the razor whenever I need to change the blade.

I just recently purchased another 6 so I will be hitting 40 very soon....maybe it is time for me to sell some :tongue_sm

I bought my first DE about 2 months ago an adjustable slim and I can't imagine a better razor.

don't despair, you still have time to be infected by all these ADs :001_tt2:

when I started (not so long ago), I also thought, like you, that I would stick to 1 razor, 1 brush and maybe 2 or 3 soaps... Why would I need other products when I'm happy with those I already own ?

Then you spend more and more time on B&B, when you go shopping you always have a look at that shaving corner... and that's it, you start suffering from all sorts of ADs.

Now after just a few months, I have 2 razors, 5 different brands of blades, 4 brushes, 10 soaps and 5 creams and still want more :scared:

I just started two months ago, and quickly scrapped the Parker and Merkur blades. I'm currently only using one, but I may have to pick up an SS or another razor, just in case mine breaks, or I lose it, or .......:001_smile:001_smile

I've shaved with a merkur hd for about 8 yrs. Recently I acquired a merkur 1904 which I use as a travel razor. I find the 1904 is cheaper than the regular "travel" versions with marginally less "compactness." I've often thought about collecting, but never moved forward with it.

I have only one and it is the one I started with, a Merkur 23c aka the long handle classic. I like looking at everyone's pictures and do not rule out the possiblility of getting other razor's, but I am content with my razor.

Just one for me, a Muhle R89... no intentions of getting another this year, unless it were a gift. I'd like to master this one and I'm still a long ways from that.
