Purchased this recently used to see how I like D01 silvertip hair. It's dense, doesn't bloom much, has a LOT of backbone for silvertip, and relatively soft tips (mild scritch because it doesn't bloom much). The handle is really cool, ivory resin with cocobolo wood and tortoise-shell resin. I measure it at 24mm x 52mm. I'm told this was one of the first run. It has not shed a single hair under my watch.

Before reading, please know this is a shedder! It sheds anywhere from 2-5 hairs per shave. Good handle for a project, or keep using the brush as it still works fine. It's a soft example of Simpson Best, a mild scritch, but one of the better ones I've encountered. I measure it at 22mm x 44mm with a fan shaped knot.

Just got this in last week and know it won't make my rotation. It's literally been de-funked, stray hairs combed out, cleaned, conditioned, and it hasn't shed a hair the last several test lathers. I've used it once in a shave. It seems to be a combo of silvertip with a few pure hairs mixed in with a mostly soft face feel and a touch of scritch from the pure hairs. It's a bulb shape knot measuring 22mm x 44mm. The handle is navy blue. Surprisingly, the knot whips up a fantastic lather, just too small for me and I have too many brushes...
