Read this post and thought deja vu. I have 90 of them to get through that came with my original and first de razor. Ive since upgraded a couple of times and now use a 60's fatboy. Im finding new derbys straight out of the wrapper feel like a 7 day old gillette 7 o'clock sharp. They just feel blunt no matter what i prep my face and beard with.its not painful but definitely drags through the hair. Stick a gillete, feather or several other makes in and they just glide through silently. I also notice on the odd occassion the derbys feel like one of the edges scratches the face.

Count me in as a Derby hater. Tried one this Saturday and it tore up my neck like no other blade I've tried since starting DE shaving. It was so bad that even shaving this morning was painful regardless of me having switched blades.
Derby is like a wife for me, i go out try other things, like them, but i will always come home to it. It is a consistent shave, might not be the sharpest, but it still takes the whiskers off.
