DE blades disposal.

Most hospitals gladly accept "donations" to their sharps boxes. That's the point of a sharps box - hazardous materials go directly into the box and are permanently sealed in so no-one ever touches them. They would much rather you dropped your needles/blades/whatever there than tossed them in the trash.

+1 on this, and sometimes they will give you an empty sharps container in return to fill with used blades. Real easy to store under the counter and it will take years to refill.

So..........I'm guessing that they should go in the trash, considering the stanley brand razor blade disposal plastic canister.

Humph.......this question will never leave my mind :crying:.
I still don't know what to do. I think I will remain recycling them.

I'm going to recycle mine in a blade bank. It'll get sorted by prisoners wearing thick gloves, so I'm not too worried. I mean, they are already sorting through rotting food and who knows what all else that left in recyclable cans, so I'm not too worried.

Although, on the other hand, some places dig through landfills with machines and magnets to sort out the metals, a la Toy Story 3, so that should work, too.
