Not sure if this meets the definition of macro (it certainly doesn't if sensor size is the reference) but I feel an uncontrollable urge to water down the flower content in this thread.
I am excited! This is the first month I have ever participated in the photo contest!
I took this photo for an art class where we could only use board games as inspiration. I was pretty happy with the result.
In case you are wondering it is a Start Wars version of Monopoly.

Has anyone else ever noticed that when the macro word is thrown out it is mainly bugs and flowers, or water drops? I'm guilty of it as well, FWIW

So does that make mine,a sarracenia leaf and arachnid,just a different side of the same coin?
On the topic of non-flower (or arachnid) photos... and one of the largest rifle rounds you can get being a very deliberate choice for a macro shot
