I'm definitely in!

What I enjoy most about B&B is the amount of information all correlated in proper places. Seriously! I've been able to find out about straight razor shaving, DE shaving, brushes, colognes, soaps, creams, writing with a fountain pen, new photography techniques, watches and briefcases, some new recipes for the kitchen, and some new and interesting liquors to try. Not one of those things was all in one sub-forum, they each had their own section and have allowed me to pick and choose what I want to concentrate on at any point of the day.

Coupled with the great format of the site is the generosity of its members. Not just the members who generously donate items into PIFs or the Sue Moore auction, also the members who generously assist new members, even old members trying new things! It's a very unique and friendly place and one I'm proud is my most visited website both at home and at work.

What I've enjoyed most about B&B is the dedication and commitment shown by the membership when a fellow member needs help, with anything. I have had to stop, reread and shake my head with a smile when I see people on B&B extend their offers of assistance, sympathy, empathy...and opinions to those who they will unlikely ever meet face-to-face. This is truly a gentleman's forum.

What I love most about B&B is how it restores my faith in mankind! Maybe, just maybe coming from New York and working in NYC makes me see a fair amount of unsavory characters out there and most definitely makes me keep my guard up at all times!
this place has proven for me that time after time that old type "Gentlemen" still exists out there. Imagine the notion of a Pif anywhere else!!?? Sending something of value for free to a stranger! Well being here for a year I would feel guilty if I hadn't done a few by now! Imagine giving your address to a stranger on the Internet.........Surely you jest?.....nope, not a problem here!
B&B is quite a magical place! It makes me feel like we are in better societal times! It fortifies that there are still good people out there!!

I'm in; thanks for the opportunity! The atmosphere of this community is the best; full of gentlemen (and women) who respect each other and offer tons of help (whether through advice or free honing or sending a newbie a starter 'something'). I'm an avid fisherman, and I see a lot of 'use the search feature, idiot' (or something to that effect) on the fishing boards I sometimes frequent, whenever a question is raised. I NEVER see that here, and I was quite surprised by this when I first noticed it after stepping in here. And it appears that you don't see people trying to profit on the B/S/T forum; just fair deals for fellow shaving enthusiasts. It just seems to be an all-around great group of people here.

I am going to echo the majority of the comments here and say that my favourite aspect of B&B is the civil, informative, and generous community here. It seems so rare on the internet to find a forum where people behave in a friendly fashion, with very few egos. I have a wide variety of intrests and often search other forums for specific information (though I am not a member of them) and I often find threads where people are mocked or insulted for asking a question or not being as purist as some others. Other forums have lots of arrogant members who always have something to prove, and want to show how great they are. Both of these don't make me want to be a part of the community.

However, at B&B we have such a varied community and everyone seems to get along well. We have lots of different nationality, political leanings, and other ideological stance; but our members can all come together in this space and have great discussions. The generosity also just adds to the community, The fact that PIFs are so common place is just amazing.

Anyway, I like the forum because it is just a great friendly, informative, and interesting place.

Shaving used to be something that I had to do. HAD to do. Wet shaving sounded interesting, though, and my online research brought me to B&B. There was so much information and support available on this forum that I just had to create an account and start participating. I now visit a few times a day, and there's always something interesting to read or a new idea to try out.

I don't participate in ALL of the threads here, nor in all of the forum's categories, but I know that B&B, as a community, would welcome anyone into any section with a firm handshake. This forum empowers us all to enjoy our gentlemanly pursuits, whatever those may be, and that's what makes this place more than just a resource.

What I enjoy most about B&B is finding more to enjoy about B&B.

I found B&B looking for help making Exotic Wood Scales for Straight Razors. Was attracted to informaion on Vintage Razors and Brushes.

Discovered a wealth of information on Scents, Soaps, and Creams. Assistance with Shaving and Lathering Techniques.

Now I am reading about Cooking, BBQ, Camping, Knives and Fishing.

It seems to never stop.
