I use the 50g jars. I usually wait for Pasteurs to have a 25% off sale and grab one then.I like the idea of the small jars,, but expensive way to buy this soap.
Anyone do this instead of the 200g jars. Any thoughts on this idea?
I've picked up the full sized jars when on special, typically from Pasteur's as in the past I could leverage a Military Discount as well. Given they've gone the wayside with that - I am fortunate in that I still have a mostly full Fougere, a couple month's worth of Vetyver, and a boxed Original "Le Domino". I killed off my Agrumes jar this past summer.I like the idea of the small jars,, but expensive way to buy this soap.

I don't rotate between them enough, but curious as to why lidless ?I could rotate these five only and be very happy. Always stored with lids off.
My guess would be to let any remaining water evaporate and dry out the soap even furtherI don't rotate between them enough, but curious as to why lidless ?
On the ”instruction card” that comes with every soap, MdC recommends storing with lids off. Le Pere Lucien makes the same recommendation. Storing soap containers with no lids definitely takes up more space, which I’m fortunate to have.I've picked up the full sized jars when on special, typically from Pasteur's as in the past I could leverage a Military Discount as well. To your question, you could split the difference in a sense and get the 130g Original "Le Canelle"...

Your "long term" storage is lidless? Typically, I let my soaps dry for a couple of hours; I shave most often in the late afternoon/early evening and leave them open, then cover them at bedtime.I could rotate these five only and be very happy. Always stored with lids off.
See bottom of MdC card and a photo of soaps. I’ve never experienced scent loss on any of these hard or triple milled soaps.Your "long term" storage is lidless? You don't experience any fragrance loss leaving them open? I'll admit, I'm only now trying MdC soaps (Fougere) and have no sense of what they will be like months down the road, but, I'd hate to have the scent fade.
That first statement a declaration! Today I used a Mistura so I guess I’m halfway there! Thanks for sharing @dave1269
I interpret their intent that the soap be air dried thoroughly prior to storing; and not stowed damp. Of course this may take into consideration continuously using their soap in a sane and conventional manner and not employing a robust rotation of artisanal soaps
I have yet to experience an issue with my standard 12-24h dry-out prior to lidding and storing, being in arid Southern California.
I think that perhaps if I were to next use an MdC during a SOTM, I may just keep the lid off - since I would be using the soap in succession. Pretty much have no choice if one were using their "crystal" offerings or brain-bowls...
But what do I know, I'm already out of compliance
