Googling "CCG" turns up dead ends Do you have a link (or the expanded company name)?Just received a copper CCG Magnum handle that I bought to use with the Overlander. I'm relieved to find it feels as good as it looks! Now on to find a matching stand...
That's a truly unique Overlander, sir.Got my dream razor. Just started a Fatip Grande kick and voila, mail call. Mr. Kirchen makes a heck of a razor.
The Bison's handle may not be the most aesthetically pleasing but it functions remarkably well. It's never caused a hiccup in any way -- good grip, well balanced. The Bison handle reignites the Overlander, makes it nimble and the weight distribution is more balanced than the knopf pommel.
Smooth ride with Permasharp(2)
That's the adjustment I make at times. The razor becomes even more smooth and loses whatever it had of blade feel ... yet it becomes surprisingly more efficient. It's weird and marvelous.Had a pinnacle shave today, one I can only hope to equal.
Stars were Personna "Lab Blue" (2) and the Karve Goatlander (brass). Co-stars were Grooming Dept pre-shave (Rainforest), Muhle STF, marble bowl and Grooming Dept Earl Grey Gelato (Mallard).
I'll attribute this extraordinary two-pass BBS+ (zero blood and not even the slightest irritation) to that last experimental tiny tilt of the razor head even more into the cap, bordering on excessive tilt. Never before had this razor this shallow. I've used all these ingredients together before to lesser results.
Technique may trump tools, but today these tools excelled!
