No official company statement or anything
Here's the thread to which I think dirtdog was referring. It's very recent, and talks about direct purchase from a Chinese manufacturer/distributor, with a minimum order of ~$5400 US for 300,000 Iridium Super blades.
Note that a vendor checks in on the thread to say that if he could get them for this price he'd be buying several million. He's not biting, apparently.

Interesting.
My brother in law lives in Macao and is always looking for a way to make a few sheckles.
I might send him a 10-pack of my Iridiums and see if he could swing a deal.

Try an Astra. You might like it better.
I did and I do.
Actually there are several other blades that I am equally happy with.
I thought Astras and Iridiums were made in the same plant??

Which Astras do you guys like? Isn't there a couple different ones, or am I thinking of something else?

There are platinum and stainless versions. I use the platinum but the few stainless i tried were equally good.

Both are good blades, but I like the Astra SS slightly better than the SP's. YMMV applies here.
