Marsh Brothers question

I found this at a local antique store for the princely sum of $4. The blade appears to have an ever-so-slight 'wiggle' from heel to toe, which I've read may or may not be an issue. The blade is between 7/8" and 15/16".

Can anyone here weigh in on quality or time period? I found a site on the interwebs that tells me this may have been made prior to 1852 based on the naming.
The text reads:
VR Marsh Brothers & Co
Ponds Works
Sheffield.

Is it worth restoring?

The VR mark was used from 1837-1901 and the Marsh Bros. used the Pond works until 1852 so this razor was made between 1837-1852. Pretty nice score for $4. I'd restore it.

If you don't want it, I'll buy it off of you for $5 and even pay for the shipping. :001_tt2: Been wanting a big blade and that looks sweet!:thumbup1:

I'll let you make a 100% profit and give you $8 for it.

Seriously, that is a very nice score. You don't see them every day and they have a good reputation. Looks like a good candidate for restoration.

Nice score for $4! Even if the blade is no good, you didn't loose much!

I would find someone to restore it!
