Must have tools

When you purchase old razors sometimes they need some restoration.
These simple tools can return something unusable to working condition
On old style 2 & 3 piece razors buggered up threads can be a frequent problem.
I like the 3 piece sets of taps #10-32, they are good for the blind hole that the knobs on Merkur HD , Slants and Progresses use.

You'll also need a tap handle.

The thread chaser die is the tool to have to clean up the excessive chrome on the threads of the cap stud.
