A very nice gesture.
1. My introduction was over a long time. I thought about switching over from cartridges and foam or Kiss My Face brushless for a long time. I eventually ordered a Feather Portable razor, a brush and some Proraso. It was a long learning curve. I tried shaving with the DE like I had been with my cartridges and got, predictably enough, bad shaves and irritation. I actually gave up on DE razors and kept collecting creams and soaps and sort of refined my shaves using cartridges. I had resigned myself to using cartridges but with wet shaving techniques, including using a brush and nice soaps/creams, when I went back to a DE - a Gillette Slim I had acquired and left in my cabinet. All the stuff I'd learned slowly, and I do mean slowly, clicked into place. I'm still not a DE expert and sometimes still use a cartridge razor, but I can now give myself a good shave using DE razors. I'm even experimenting with a Schick Injector.
2. As for the warm and fuzzy part - well, using all those cool products - nicely scented soaps and creams as well as aftershave products, of course.
