Default Call it what you will

They can call it the world series, solar system series, galaxy series or universe series, I don't care. You see, I grew up loving baseball. Where I am, The Big Red Machine was what we all followed around Kentucky. (Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Pedro Borbon and the like). I continued to watch baseball and follow it closely until the year they cancelled the World Series because of the strike. Haven't watched a complete game on TV since. I think that year in the early 90's woke me up to what a bloated bunch of greedy people our world of sports has created. And who created them,,,,us,,,,the fans. Who suffers when THEY don't get enough of our money... well I guess you see my point. Call it what you want, just clear it with the marketing department first.

At any rate, that final game between Korea and Japan was probably the most exciting game I've ever watched.
In my opinion, the country that has proven can put the very best Baseball Team in the world is the Dominican Republic, but for the reason I stated in my previous post, not all the players can or don't want to attend the WBC.

Cuba, Korea, and Japan can all compete with the Dominican as well. FWIW, a lot of people picked the DR to win the WBC and it didn't go that well for them... They didn't even get out of their first pool! Which players from the DR could have been added to this roster that would have changed it?

Here's there roster from the '09 WBC:
