What's the story on La Toja AS?
I got a sample from Superlather and I like it. My wife likes it as well. I don't see as much posting about La Toja as I do other things like Floid, Proraso, Tabac, AV, Clubman, etc. Is this a well regarded AS?

great effectiveness!
the scent is unique and fairly strong, and if ordered from Leon at VintageScent.com very reasonable!

I like the stuff, and wear it fairly often. Of course, once I get my Hâttric Classic in from Superlather, I'll be wearing that stuff more than anything else.

I love my LaToja AS and it's a line ball with my Proraso. +1 on checking Leon's prices before you pull the trigger - you'll be glad you did

La Toja is in my rotation. I like to wear this one every Saturday as it is a good casual scent. Reminds me of Drakar Noir. La Toja delivers a good burn. Pair it up with some 444 Balm & your face will feel great.

La Toja is excellent stuff, smells and feels great, the scent reminds me of Musgo. If you order it I would get the shave stick too, very nice and paired with the AS, awesome.
Cheers,
David

while we're chatting about the la toja line, the cream is one of the best out there by way of cushion.

The balm is nice too, I recently acquired a bottle of it along with the soap in a bowl. The whole line is excellent.

I got their shower gel from latienda.com. It is more of a cream (like Dove) than a gel. It works well, and the scent is not harsh.

La Toja +1
I've got the AS and the Sensitive Shave Cream - both are in the rotation.
The products have a nice scent that isn't overpowering, but the AS still has a nice little kick to it. The SC gives a nice later and cushion - I prefer soaps, but I keep the LaToja cream around.
I'll be looking for the Shave stick and ASB next, once I make some room.
We LaToja patrons must just be more subtle than users of some other products...

May I inquire as to where you found their soap in a bowl? Or, was it their shaving stick milled into a bowl?

That's a pretty fair comparison. Hâttric and La Toja AS have similar scents and give similar results.

A friend picked it up in Spain, from what I understand it is only available there and it has to be ordered direct from La Toja. It is pretty neat packaging.

this is from Leons site at www.vintagescent.com regarding the AS:
It takes care of your skin: its formula with mineral salts from the "La Toja" fountain and B5 vitamins strengthens the natural defenses of the skin and provides an easier recovery.
does anyone have info on what the mineral salts and B5 do for the skin?

I don't know exactly, but the balm also contains these mineral salts.
And though it also has alcohol, it has good skin healing/moisturizing properties.
I don't know if it is a side effect of the salts or of the alcohol, but I love the slight tingling sensation. It is the only ASB I got that feels so.
My 2 cts.

So, how about these salts on our skin?
