    Default Face Soap

Does anyone here use a "face soap" to wash there face with? Just curious i'm looking for a face soap that will be gentle. I've tried Dove sensitive skin face soap and it wasn't too bad, however I'm want something with Olive oil, shea butter stuff like. If you anyone of you can point me into the right direction I would surely appreciate it.

Well made olive oil soaps are excellent. I ordered a 1000 gram cube of Savon de Marseilles olive oil soap and have really enjoyed it as both a facial and a bath soap.

How would one compare these type of soaps (French or otherwise) to, say, the Kiss My Face olive oil soap?

Interesting coincidence as I just tried some KMF olive oil soap yesterday for the first time. I found it to dry my face out whereas the Savon de Marseilles just leaves me feeling clean.

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

Hey Kyle, are you using the "Olive Oil" or the "Palm Oil" Savon de Marseilles? Reason being I just ordered (about 20 minutes) from Frenchsoaps.com and purchase the "Palm Oil" Savon de Marseilles. I can't wait to try it.

I've got the olive oil block. I'll be very interested to hear your take on the palm oil.

    Kyle,

How does this compare to the Hydrolast cube? The last two days I have just shaved with only the cube and found it to work very well.

The lather is not quite a slick as that from the cube. If you are going to use it (the French soap) in conjunction with a cream, it performs beautifully, but by itself, it doesn't measure up to the cube.

John, if your shipping question is in reference to frenchsoaps.com, I don't remember the exact amount, but I don't believe it was unreasonable. They also carry a shave cream and other men's toiletry products so you could dumb down the shipping price a bit with additional purchases (subliminally encouraging your *AD's).

Thanks. I've been using KMF and have been happy with it, but if Savon is really that much better, I want to give it a try. I might get the variety pack from all the countries for 50 bucks, that is, if they mean 400 grams per bar...not 400g total

I just use the Cetaphil Daily Cleanser stuff. Pretty good, I guess. Better than Dial. I would imagine the olive/palm oil soaps are a little more moisturizing that the stuff I use.
