I have ben face lathering very successfully, but I have a question on the method of using a bowl/mug/scuttle (not on lathering though)

If I buy a cake of soap like conks, and put it in the ottom of the bowl, then twirl the brush around, lather , shave, wash the brush, what do I do or rather how do I clean the mug ?

Do i rinse out the excess lather and leave the soap in the bottom of it ?

do i not put the soap in it in the first place, but keep it in a separate container/soap dish , so i can rinse out the mug/bowl/scuttle, I am a bit confused on the subsequent cleanup and storage etc for the next shave.

What do you do ?
