BALLISTOL has been around in Europe for over 40 years. Originally invented for military use it became a household word in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Millions of users have experimented with BALLISTOL and found new surprising applications for it, some of which reach into the field of veterinary medicine as a topical lotion.

This is one of the oils/lubricants that I use on my straights & DEs too. I especially prefer to use it if I'm storing a razor away for a longer period (i.e., out of rotation). A little goes a long way, and you can spray it onto a cloth or a cotton ball to apply it too.

I'm especially fond of the 16oz can as it comes in a non aerosol form too!

This stuff really is good though. I even kind of like the heavy licoriche smell it has (but only when the top gets put back on the can, otherwise it can take out a room .).
My name is Chris but you can call me "subtle as a train wreck."

I find it smells pretty strong. Funky. Not my favourite smell.

Nor mine, but it does protect the blade. Wash well before using.

    Here's their website: http://www.ballistol.com/.

You could buy online (if you'd like a decade or lifetime supply ), or maybe call/e-mail them to find a local retailer?
