Flitron or Toddy For Cold Brewing?

I assume you're talking of making a concentrate? I know there are followers of that method, but it doesn't make much sense to me.

I had a Toddy. Used it for a while. Took up lots of space in the fridge whilst steeping. I still make iced coffee regularly and I use a gallon pitcher, a pound of coffee (my preference is Union Brand Coffee and Chicory), three quarts of water, well stirred and allow to sit covered on a counter overnight/12 hours. I filter through a strainer lined with cheesecloth (You can filter twice to get more of the fine stuff if you like). Yields a very smooth, rich coffee.

I like the Toddy a lot. I've had one for a couple of years and it gets used quite heavily during the summer. It works nicely and makes a delicious cup of iced coffee.
