    Talking Just to make you jealous

    Today I discovered a brand new store in downtown Antwerp, 'The Clean Shave', that carries full ranges of DR Harris and Taylor of old Bond Street.
    I stood there at the window, just drooling at Harris' lavender soap and TOBS' St-James aftershave. No more shipping costs and delays for me.
    With the addition of this store, I now have at walking distance from my home the full shaving products range of Trumper, C&E, DR Harris, and Taylors. Not to mention Proraso, Speick, Cella, Golddachs and Tabac.
    Life can be good. Or at least shaving can be.

    On the down side, I guess after that discovery your bank balance is going to decrease at quite a steady rate over the next few months....

    ...oh heck, I may as well admit it... I'm jealous.

    Me too!! Tabac seems to be really hard to find (soap bowl variant) here in England, does anyone know where I can get some at a good price? (ebay has some but shipping is far too high.)

    Tabac: bowl=14 euro, refill=6 euro
    Golddachs= 20 euro (in the tin), refills are way cheaper
    Cella=7 euro
    Speick=8 euro

    It worked, Frederik, I'm jealous.

    But surely someday there'll be a superb shaving cream made right here in Kansas...

    damn, that's kind of expensive for some of the stuff, although Golddachs is worth it.

    I'm envious, in Chicago we have a little of the top self products all at smallflower.com in their store you can buy many products, but nothing like you. Hope your bank account can handle the temptations.

    Peter,

    In Antwerp I can find Merkur razors, TOBS (Vulfix) brushes, Plisson, Muehle and Merkur/Dovo brushes, Dovo and TI straight razors, trumper (EJ) razors. In Brussels there is a store that carries Merkur and Simpsons.
    That's not too bad IMO.

    That would be Dutch (or Flemish, which is a regional variety of Dutch), French (spoken in the South) or German (spoken in the east by appr. 70,000 people). But luckily we do all speak English.
