looks like it's got a rather worn blade with a frown, i wouldn't bother fixing it, probably cannibalize the scales since they look like horn.

Lingo? What lingo? Haven't you ever cannibalized various things for parts before? :confused:

Anyway, he's talking about knocking off the pins and saving the scales. You know those black, non-metallic things that sheath the blade when not in use? You could eventually use them on another blade that needs scales because their either missing completely, or severely damaged.
